1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking an experienced Digital Solution Architect to provide digital solution business consulting services for our electric and water utility clients throughout the project lifecycle. The selected candidate will join the Digital PMO business line, which is focused on transforming classic rearward looking PMO's to digitally transformed PMO's which are looking toward the future by employing modern technology and analytics to effectively manage projects.
The Digital Solution Architect shall possess strong electric and water utility business and technology acumen. This position will focus on helping project organizations unlock opportunities to achieve efficiencies during project delivery through consideration of people, process and technology. It is preferred that this position has deep experience in industry leading practices across project management and/or project controls. Additionally, this position will lead or support assessments, roadmap development, and/or technology implementations to our clients with a strong emphasis on teamwork, customer commitment, and industry leading practices.
Apply industry experience and leading practices to architect, design, develop and implement project management solutions to support complex business requirements.
Lead or assist with program estimating, planning, and budgeting efforts and be accountable for the program/project delivery execution.
As the Solution Architect, support Analysis, Design, Build, Test, Triaging defects, Configuration, and Deployment activities for Project Management Information Systems (PMIS).
Ability to support Enterprise Program Management activities utilizing various methodologies such as but not limited to Waterfall and Agile methods.
Responsible for the successful completion of the project per the budget, scope, quality, and attainment of the business objectives. In addition, supervise the overall project status and progress and ensure all scheduled milestones and delivery dates are met.
Responsible for overall project quality of deliverables.
Act as an application architect and solution architect, with responsibilities on the application and technical architecture teams.
Assist with or lead the business process design activities to drive out the complete application requirements, both functional and technical.
Work with the application designer to create a high-level design of an end-to-end integration solution that provides a common structure for mapping the data between the applications.
Validate that the application requirements meet overall business process needs, are within the project scope, and are internally consistent.
Leads or assists with completing high-level project communications and status reporting to the supporting executive team.
Assists with providing a central point of contact for all project interdependencies, internal and external.
Assists with timely development and implementation of all stages of the system.
Use Project execution experience and knowledge to provide input and influence project execution processes and quality assurance/quality control protocols.
Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.

Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. Applicable work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Minimum 8 years of experience providing enterprise or operations architecture strategies, enterprise or operations integration solutions and services leveraging various applications and technical platforms.
Preferred: 5 years working in the Electric or Water Utility Industry or equivalent.
Excellent enterprise architecture and integration skills, including data architecture, cloud architecture, middleware, communications and other architectural methods and practices.
Expert computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Experienced with Project Management Information Systems software and technologies (e.g., Oracle Unifier, Trimble eBuilder, Kahua, Hexagon EcoSys).
Preferred: Familiar with additional project management software and technologies (e.g., Wrike, PM Web, Monday.com, Sitetracker).
Project management and/or project controls experience is preferred.
Strong ability to influence or lead project execution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with a variety of project execution methodologies including but not limed to Waterfall and Agile.
Experience developing executive level technology assessments, roadmap strategies across the project delivery lifecycle for clients in the utilities industry.
